After A Brief Hiatus 💫

It's been approximately 550 days since I last posted on this blog. I regret not posting about my fantastic trip to Southern Utah with my friend Davis in December of 2016.

Hoodoos in Bryce Canyon, December.                   Davis down in the midst of the hoodoos.

Of the nearly empty parks that we visited, my favorite was Bryce and the mystical experiences of Hoodoos in December.

Valley of the Gods, Capitol Reef, Natural Bridges, Escalante, and Zion are magical places.

Valley of the Gods, our introduction to Escalante
Grand Staircase National Monument area.

On a political note, I believe that they should be preserved for eternity to remind us of the majestic and diverse magnificence of nature and our country and to protect the relics of the First Nation people who lived there for centuries.

Capitol Reef

There must be more superlative adjectives I can dig up: magnificent, etherial, awe-inspiring.... but you get the idea.

Natural Bridges. Here we were the only                    Escalante Half Creek Trail
people in the park!

May I recommend Route 12, in December, from east to west? The sky is blue, the colors are vivid, the roads are uncrowded. Each area got more spectacular culminating in Bryce and Zion. In Natural Bridges we were literally the only ones in the park! That's hard to beat!

Zion the Magnificent! Thoughts of Ben here as he spent time shooting these gorgeous cliffs and valleys.
